I am beyond honoured to have been invited to the first ever Smashbox Asian Makeup Artist masterclass held at their beautiful Studio in London. This is the first time I have ever been invited to an event like this. As expected, I was pretty nervous yet really excited to meet the team, other makeup enthusiasts and simply learn the artistry using Smashbox products.
The class involved meeting some of the Smashbox crew who were all so lovely and helpful and provided me with great advice on colour matching a foundation and offering a suitable primer (The photo finish primer – Oil free) for my combination skin type. Having tried several primers for years and always having a constant shine in my T-Zone area I had lost all hope….
That was until I went to Drake’s concert last week and thought to myself let me try the Smashbox Primer sample as this will be my true test to a shine free T-Zone. I mean I will be in a jam packed arena, singing and dancing my heart out… To my surprise this primer works like a dream, I was matte with no shine whatsoever! *I am so happy*
A senior MUA also took us through products that are ideal in our kits to create the perfect Asian bridal makeup look. She also shared some tips for long lasting, photo ready makeup. Born out of the legendary Smashbox Studio in LA, the product range is designed to look flawless both on and off camera.
There were 2 models. The first model demonstrated a natural, fresh, glowy appearance.
The second model reflected the ‘Indian Bride’.
I was amazed by the incredible shade range that was available from Smashbox famous base collection, as well as the impressive lip collection, including 120 newly launched shades in both matte and crème finishes.
And if that wasn’t enough we were also given a little something containing some beautiful products that I will be sharing with you all very soon.
Have you tried any Smashbox Cosmetics products? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments section below.
Stay Tuned for my reveal inside the goody bag.
