First Impression: NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette

So here I am writing my first impression on the NYX Sweet Cheek Blush Palette. After a good few months (& the universe conspiring to me; I will tell you about that soon!) I finally have this palette sitting next to me. Let me take you back a few months and how I initially came to realise of this palettes existence. Two words ‘Kaushal Beauty’, having watched her videos I merely remember her reaching out to the infamous NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette to apply her blush.

  1. I paused the video
  2. Googled this product
  3. The search results appeared… £17 on sites such as Debenhams and Cultbeauty (& that’s when reality hit, I do not have £17 to pay for a compact, 8 piece blusher set!)

Now lets fast forward –> With Valentine’s day around the corner, I thought why not treat myself? I just so happened to be popping into my local B&M store (Perhaps the 2nd time ever!) and found this gem for £5.99 – I was ecstatic. So there you have it, the universe working in mysterious ways….

So lets get back to this first impression, NYX describes this palette as a collection that features eight highly pigmented and buttery-smooth colors that flawlessly suit any skin tone. Perfect for everyone from the pro on the go to the budding beauty guru, our irreplaceable set brings together a variety of exclusive shades in both matte and shimmery finishes. It’s true–we’ve got a serious blush crush!

I definitely agree with NYX, I have serious ‘blush crush’. The shades are beautiful (Perfect for all seasons), extremely pigmented and long lasting…

The packaging is standard – A black plastic case with the NYX product logo placed in the centre. You will also find a see through top where the 8 blushes are visible. In my opinion, the packaging is simple yet sophisticated.

Here is a look I created using the bottom 2 left shades…

Overall I LOVE this drugstore palette. Why?

  • I feel that this product is extremely value for money
  • The palette contains 8 beautiful shades and costs £5.99 – this calculates approximately £0.75 for each blush
  • The colour range is fantastic – you can create versatile looks from day to night
  • It’s user friendly
  • It’s travel friendly (I will be taking this on holiday with me)
